Building Evenly, behind the scenes

Building Evenly. Around school holiday mum duties and a full time job I have been busy building everything I will need to make Evenly a success — website, social media, a newsletter... and everything in between!

As someone who has worked commissioning business support for the past five years, I always felt like I was missing the piece of the jigsaw in having never run a business myself, and knowing exactly what all these incredible entrepreneurs I met had been through.

Well I now have a new found understanding and utmost respect for anyone starting a business. I'm not sure I appreciated just how much goes into getting the behind the scenes stuff ready, before you have anything to show your prospective customers! From registering your company, your domain, thinking about finance and bank accounts and which software to use for which thing and how they all link up. Mind blown.

Also very grateful to have my own IT technician at home (Mr Calderbank) who has also been spending far too many evenings of his own helping to get this website sorted. For which I am eternally grateful (should he be reading this).

I'm excited to get moving and finally get all those ideas that have brewing in my head over the past few years out in the open!
